Meet Dr. Josh Cole
I come from a family of chiropractors. My first adjustment took place 45 minutes after I was born! My great uncle was the first chiropractor in the family, followed by my father, Dr. Larry Cole, and his twin brother. I was unsure about my career path after high school and worked at FedEx for 10 years.
During that time, I realized I wanted to do something where I could help people and own a business at the same time. My brother had just finished chiropractic college and I saw him get excited about helping others. That is what really drove me to become a chiropractor.
Learning to Treat Individual Needs
Dr. Josh attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. The anatomy courses he took allowed him to understand that every individual is different. He knew that in his practice, he would treat each of his patients as the unique beings that they are. Dr. Josh also received his Master’s degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation, learning the mechanics involved in sports such as golf, softball, baseball and swimming. He graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic in 2009.
A Specialization in Sports
Through a great evaluation Dr. Josh develops the proper care designed to address an athlete’s specific biomechanical needs which in turn makes them perform better. Dr. Josh’s knowledge about the functional aspects of athletics is further complemented by his certification through Professional Sports Care, Titleist Performance Institute and SFMA.
With his qualifications, Dr. Josh provides care at PGA Tour and Champions Tour golf events. He has provided chiropractic care for:
2009-2011 Nationwide Tour Championship

2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club
2015-2016 FedEx St. Jude Classic
Enjoying Family and Nature
Family and friends are important to Dr. Josh. He spends time with his mother and father who live in East Memphis, helping them out when needed. Dr. Josh enjoys any outdoor activities such as golfing, going to the lake, water sports and fishing. You may find him spending time outdoors at Sea Isle Park, Willow Park or Audubon Park. He has a standard poodle he rescued named Tucker.

Meet Dr. Larry Cole
Retired
My uncle was the first chiropractor in our family. I knew early on that I wanted to be in the medical field but wasn’t sure which direction to take. I went to medical school for a short time after serving in Vietnam.
It made me realize I wanted to move toward a more natural way of helping people.”
The philosophy of chiropractic made a lot of sense to me. Since the brain controls the body, the healing process starts from within not the outside. I decided to become a chiropractor.
Going to Where It All Started
Dr. Larry chose to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and graduated in 1973. There’s an old saying that Palmer is to chiropractic as Harvard is to medicine. Dr. Larry chose to go to school where chiropractic began. The courses Dr. Larry took included the Gonstead and Diversified techniques. He uses these methods in the full spine work Back and Neck Specialists still offers today.
After over 40 years in practice, Dr. Larry has seen countless people get well by realigning the spine so the body can heal.
Staying Informed
Dr. Larry enjoys providing patients with the many benefits chiropractic care offers. He maintains memberships in several organizations to stay informed on the latest in chiropractic and health:
- The International Chiropractic Association
- The Palmer College of Chiropractic Alumni Association
- The American Chiropractic Association
- The Tennessee Chiropractic Association
- The Eagle Society
Dr. Larry is also a member of the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. This organization helps to inform people about what happens in auto accidents and trauma, including low-speed injuries and contact sports.
Back Talk
Dr. Larry started a radio show in the early 90’s called Back Talk. The purpose of the radio show was to educate the community on the benefits of chiropractic care and overall natural health. Back Talk was the #1 weekend talk show in Memphis for several years.
One-of-a-kind Invention
One of the biggest highlights of Dr. Larry’s career is his invention of the Side Sleeper Pro Air pillow. He realized years ago the benefits of sleeping on your side and saw the need for a pillow to support proper sleeping position. These pillows are now available in 35 countries around the world. Dr. Larry holds four patents on the pillow.
Living a Full Life
Dr. Larry is married to his wonderful wife, Lynda. They have five children and five grandchildren. Their hobbies include traveling, boating, fishing, golfing and living life to the fullest with each other. They are members and supporters of a local church and hold membership in The Exchange Club of America.
